Posters and achievements: how unlocking works
Which passes unlock a vintage poster, what counts as a visit, how to preview all 311 posters, and the full list of achievements in Mountain Passes.
Every pass you visit adds to your collection. Three hundred and eleven of them also unlock a vintage travel poster, and milestones along the way earn achievements. Earning posters and achievements is free; previewing the posters you have not earned yet is Pro.
What counts as a visit
- A crossing detected during a recorded ride: you passed within the detection radius of the summit (50 m by default) at roughly the right altitude.
- A visit you log by hand, on the pass or on a ride.
- A crossing found in an imported GPX or Apple Health track (within 500 m of the summit).
Visiting the same pass again adds another visit with its own date, photos and note. Collection achievements count distinct passes, so a repeat does not move them; distance and endurance achievements count every ride.
Posters
A pass with a poster shows it on its page, blurred with Visit to unlock until you have been there.
The full wall is in Home › Settings › Poster Collection, grouped by country with your Posters Collected count out of 311. The menu in the top-right corner switches between All, Unlocked and Locked; locked posters are blurred with a padlock until you visit. Tap a poster to see it full screen and swipe through the rest.
Preview them all: with Pro, turn on Show All Posters in Home › Settings › General. Every poster is shown sharp, on the pass pages and in the collection, before you visit.

Achievements
Find them in Home, under the achievement spotlight, with progress toward the next one. The Achievements screen also keeps your Personal Records: highest pass, longest ride, most climbing, longest duration and most passes in a day. All 27 achievements are free.

Troubleshooting
- A poster did not unlock. Not every pass has one; the pass page shows the poster when there is one. If the pass has a poster but no visit was logged, see Why a pass didn't log.
- The count says 0 of 311 on a new phone. Your collection syncs through iCloud; see iPad, Mac and iCloud sync.
- An achievement did not appear right away. Achievements are checked when a visit or ride is saved. Open Home once and it catches up.
